Angelina Jolie is a star kid from two actor parents Jon Voight and Marcheline Bertrand. Though she legally dropped her surname Voight and was finally named only Angelina Jolie. She is the goddaughter of actress Jacqueline Bisset and actor Maximilian Schell. She was born on June 4, 1975.

She became a star in the year 1990 and started acting at a very young age. She studied in the Lee Strasberg Theater Institute while in her early teens along with acting. She then joined New York University.

Jolie married Billy Bob Thornton in 2000 after co-starring with him in Pushing Tin. The two officially divorced in 2003 following three years of marriage.

In the year 2004 she started dating the actor Brad Pitt during the shooting of Mr. and Mrs. Smith. She adopted a son from Cambodia and named him Maddox in the year 2002. Three years later, she adopted a daughter, Zahara. In the year 2004 Brad Pitt, filed papers to adopted both the children legally.

In 2006, the couple finally had their own daughter and named her Shiloh. In the year 2007 she adopted a 3-year-old boy from a Vietnamese orphanage and named him Pax Thien.

Jolie then gave birth to twins, Knox Leon and Vivienne Marcheline, on July 12, 2008. In the year 2012 they finally got engaged and married in the year 2014. In 2016 Jolie reportedly filed for divorce from Pitt and has requested sole physical custody of their six children.

As the doctors had detected chances of ovarian and breast cancer she got her ovaries and fallopian tubes removed.
